How many months does one membership last?
Your Global Discounts Card membership is valid for life and you will never have to
pay renewal fees or annual dues ever. Your Global Discounts Card lifetime Gold
card is valid 365 days a year.
How much does the membership cost?
Global Discounts Card lifetime gold membership card varies in price depending on
your geographical location. Click on the Join page to determine your
cost. You will receive a Global Discounts Cardlifetime membership card with your
own member ID#.
How many rooms is one card valid for? Can I book for my
colleague too?
One card is required per room. This means that you cannot book one room
for you and one for your colleague, the second person needs a card of
his own. Seeing that it only takes 2 or 3 nights at a hotel to cover
the cost of the membership card - it is really worth recommending
Global Discounts Card to all your colleagues.
How can I make my reservation?
A reservation request must be placed directly with the hotel you wish
to stay at. When you access the member's only section at GlobalDiscountsCard.com
you will be entering into our database. Locate the 50% off directory
inside the member's only section. Locate the state in which you want to
visit. Locate the Hotel in which you want to stay at. When you located
the hotel, you will notice that they provide their
reservation
number. Call the Hotel directly and mention you are a Global Discounts Card
member.
Can I call any Global Discounts Card office to make a reservation?
No, you need to contact the hotel direct. Global Discounts Carddoes not reserve
or cancel reservations. You must deal with the hotel direct.
Am I guaranteed a 50% discount on all my reservations?
No, not guaranteed. The discount is always given subject to expected
availability and if a hotel expects to be fully booked for the night in
question, they can say no to the discount. It is always up to the hotel
to decide whether or not to accept it. However, hotels welcome our
members with open arms.
Why would I become a member if I am not guaranteed the
discount?
Statistics from Global Discounts Card reservation service shows that between 80
and 85% of all reservations are accepted at the Global Discounts Card rates.

Is the cardholder the only person who can use the card?
Yes, You must have the membership card in possession at the time of
check in. Hotels are required to view your membership card. Most
companies will make a photo copy of your membership card when checking
in.
Can I bring my family and get the Global Discounts Card rate?
Most hotels are flexible with regard to accommodating you and
your family at the discounted price even if you should need two rooms.
When making your reservations mention to them that you have more than 1
person in your family.
If I purchase the card through the company, can I then use it
for private travels?
Yes, of course! There are no limitations as to how often you
can
use the card or to the purpose of the travel. Regardless if you travel
everyday or one time every 10 years you will still receive the same
benefit from your Global Discounts Cardmembership card.
Is the 50% discount applicable at weekend rates too?
Hotels base their rates off rack rates. The rack rate at a hotel is
different on the weekends versus the weekdays. Almost 90% of our hotels
honor the Global Discounts Card discount on the weekend as is during the week.
Are membership cards renewed automatically or where do I do so?
There are no renewal fees or annual dues with Global Discounts Card The only time
in which you will be responsible to pay more money is if you loose your
Global Discounts Card membership card. If you lost your card and you need
assistance then please email info@globaldiscountscard.com.
Please be sure to include your member ID number. If you are unable to
locate your member ID# then you must purchase another Global Discounts Card
membership card.
Why would any hotel offer 50% off their rates?
Very few hotels have 100% occupancy. Instead of leaving the rooms
empty, they are selling them to Global Discounts Card members at half price...
after all it is better to make 50% than loose 100%. Hotels are the most
perishable industry in the world. If they do not rent that room tonight
they cannot make up for it tomorrow. It is lost money. When they rent a
room to Global Discounts Card members they simply have found money. Not only are
the hotels making money on this, but also our members are saving 50% at
the same time. That is why Global Discounts Card has experienced such major
growth with new members and different industries around the globe.
Why don't you have any FAQ's for the other discounts?
